IMPROVE TO IMPROVE

Experience Social Emotional Learning (SEL) through improvisational activities that focuses on how we connect, create, and collaborate through movement, sound, and dialogue. We are all creatures of attachment and in need of healthy personal and professional relationships. Come and explore some adventurous activities that challenge participants to take a safe risk on one’s creativity, expand comfort zone, and develop creative impulses for innovative ideas, strategies, and outcomes.  

Improv to improve is designed to take participants on a progressive journey of self-awareness and personal growth, practicing Intra and Interpersonal Communication skills. Participants will engage in eye contact exercises, connection to body language, tone of voice, and practical application of verbal and non-verbal interaction. The session is built on the participant’s ability to play and explore. Within the session, there will be opportunities for each person to create and perform individually, with a partner and large group, given minimal rules and set boundaries.

Outcomes:

Participants will practice using non-verbal movements to communicate.

Participants will have an understanding of how they interact with others using movement, sound, and dialogue.

Participants will gain an understanding of how to connect to their skills and talents, create something with their abilities, and collaborate with others to stimulate new ideas and strategies.
